Colonial Express Shuttle Bus
Yellow Strobe Lights
There are occasions when the Colonial Express shuttles are out of service and 4-RIDE vans are used to run the shuttle route. The University Police Department will be implementing a new feature in order to increase the visibility of vans that are used for the Colonial Express Shuttle service. Effective immediately, a yellow strobe light will be placed on the dashboard of the shuttle buses and in any van being used to run the shuttle route in lieu of a shuttle bus. Therefore, when you see a 4-RIDE van with a flashing yellow light you will be able to recognize it as the designated shuttle vehicle. Based upon feedback provided to the University Police Department by students, we are adding this feature so that the community can more easily identify the vehicles serving as the shuttle buses for the northern and southern bus routes.

Shuttle service runs from 7pm to 3am. For questions during that time, call (202) 994-RIDE.
The GW Shuttle Service is a free shuttle service which travels a regular route around campus. Members of the GW Community may simply stand at the designated bus stop without having the call the escort service.

Please wait inside the building lobby both for safety and for shelter from inclement weather. Those waiting for the shuttle should make themselves visible from where the shuttle will be stopping. The shuttle will stop less than a minute if there is no one waiting.
