SUMMIT Reservation Process

Getting Started: Brainstorm with your organization whether the SUMMIT could be beneficial for you. Determine how many participants you'll have and what you'd like the session to look like. Pick-out at least two possible dates and times.

Online Reservation: At least one month in advance, fill out and submit the online reservation form. This form will allow you to request preferred dates for your session, tell us some specifics about your group, and clarify your goals and objectives for your time on the course.

Confirmation: Your requested session is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from the SUMMIT. Once your session is confirmed you will receive information about who is facilitating your session, the required paperwork for your session, the SUMMIT cancellation policy, and what to wear/bring for your session.

Risk Release Form: Every member of your group must complete this form prior to the start of your SUMMIT session. Please distribute and collect completed forms the week prior to your session. Remember to bring the completed forms with you to your session. Without a risk release form, participants will not be allowed to participate in your SUMMIT session.

Cancellation: You must email summit@gwu.edu at least 72 hours in advance, if something major changes in your plans or if you need to cancel your session. Failure to do so may result in additional fees. Click here for the full cancellation policy.

Prepare: 48 hours prior to your session you will receive an email from your lead facilitator. Use this email to plan ahead and prepare appropriately for the specific needs of your group and the predicted weather conditions (raincoats, sunscreen, inhalers, etc). Click here for a suggested list of what to wear/bring.

Your session day! Plan to arrive 15-30 minutes before your scheduled start time. It is your group's responsibility to be on time for your session. Plan ahead for traffic or other delays. Click here for information regarding parking, directions and The Vern Express. All sessions start outside of Hand Chapel. Here is where you will meet your facilitator(s) and hand in your risk release forms.

You are set! Enjoy your SUMMIT experience!
