Is this for you?

The SUMMIT is great for both newly-formed and long-standing groups. If you and your group are up for a challenge and having some fun, you can’t go wrong with some time on the SUMMIT! Every SUMMIT session is customized to address the specific needs of each individual group as defined by you.

The SUMMIT utilizes a variety of activities from icebreakers, to team initiatives and problem solving, to high level challenges. All of these methods help to teach and reinforce team concepts such as communication, creative problem solving and conflict resolution.

Throughout the activities, debrief sessions are lead by SUMMIT facilitators. During these discussions, lessons learned during the program are integrated into useful applications to real life situations. We won't just talk about teamwork; we'll give you an opportunity to live it, to practice it, and to learn what it means for you!

Potential benefits and outcomes of bringing a group to the SUMMIT:

Increase in comfort level with healthy risk-taking
Application of learning theories
Creation of a positive, productive, and energetic work environment
Conflict resolution
Creative problem solving
Increase in group motivation, success and efficiency
Improvement in group dynamics and teamwork
Communication skills
Group cohesion and bonding
Building trust
Having fun

To determine if the SUMMIT is a good fit for your group, begin by clarifying your goals and objectives for your SUMMIT session. Can these goals be achieved or worked towards with the use of a challenge course? If the answer is yes, go for it! If you are still unsure if the SUMMIT is an appropriate fit for achieving your goals, please feel free to contact us at summit@gwu.edu and we would be happy to discuss the course further with you.
