If, for some reason, your group is not able to commit to your confirmed session, we must receive written notice no less than 72 hours before the start of your session. For instance, if your session is scheduled for a Saturday at 12pm, we must receive notice by the Wednesday before, no later than 12pm.
You must notify us by emailing summit@gwu.edu with your group's name, your session date and time, and the circumstances that led to your cancellation. Failure to notify us by this deadline may impact your group's ability to utilize the course in the future; for those groups who pay a usage fee for the SUMMIT, your session fee will be forfeited if we do not receive cancellation notice by the 72 hour deadline.
SUMMIT sessions proceed despite inclement weather. If there is significant risk of lightning or extreme temperatures, the Lead Facilitator will utilize her judgment in determining whether or not to cancel a session. If she chooses to cancel the session, the group contact(s) will receive an email 24 hours in advance with notification. Cancellations due to inclement weather will not be held against the group, and the group will be placed at the front of our scheduling calendar to determine a make-up date.
