Most of the residence halls at The George Washington University offer ResNet, a convenient high-speed Internet connection. We are pleased to offer you high-speed internet connectivity this summer and we hope you choose to use ResNet while you are staying at GW.  ResNet service is supported by Student Technology Services (STS).

All you need to bring is a computer with an installed 10/100 BaseT Ethernet card.*  Once you arrive on campus, you’ll need to sign out ResNet equipment in order to use your connection.  Equipment can be signed out at the STS office, located in City Hall, 950 24th Street NW, Washington, DC.  STS is open from 9am-7pm, Monday through Friday.

 Student Technology Services (STS)  provides:

  • ResNet: high-speed broadband internet access that  is always on, providing connection speeds up to 100 Mb per second (over 1,000 times faster than a modem dial-up connection).  ResNet  does not require dialing up via a phone line.
  • Student Technology Services (STS) Hotline with knowledgeable technicians available to answer questions and offer assistance with your connection, Monday – Friday from 7:00 am - 10:00 pm*.
* Limited technical support is available 7 pm to 10 pm.
