GWMail

GWMail is Here!!

You now have over 6 GB of storage space (wow, that's a lot of space!), better email organization options, integrated search capabilities, a Google mail interface, and did we mention over 6 GB of storage space?!  So, go ahead and email your friends at GW as many large files as you want, they've got space, too!

The 411...

  • All students will be using the new system hosted by Google.
  • Your NetID (the first part of your email address) will remain the same but the domain name will change.  NetID@gwu.edu will become NetID@gwmail.gwu.edu.
  • Once your new email account is activated, all mail sent to your old email address will be forwarded to the new email address NetID@gwmail.gwu.edu.
  • You will be provided a 6-month transition period to migrate your contacts and messages from Colonial Mail to GWMail.  During this transition period, you will be able to access Colonial Mail at http://cmail.gwu.edu.
