Spybot Search & Destroy
Spybot Search & Destroy is a free antispyware utility. By installing the program on your system, you will be taking an important step toward protecting your computer from spyware infection.
To begin, download Spybot Search & Destroy by clicking on the following icon:

If you are asked for a location to save
the file, select "Desktop." After the program has been downloaded,
double-click on the installer to launch the program's setup.
You will be asked to select a language and agree to the program's License Agreement.

In the Select Components window, students living on campus should un-check Download updates immediately. You will be able to download updates later after successfully logging into CCA.
You will also be asked to select a group of program options. For most users, the default settings will be adequate. Tea Timer is an optioal task that provides real time monitoring.
You will be asked to select a language and agree to the program's License Agreement.

Please review the License Agreement, agree to it and click Next several times to complete the setup process.
In the Select Destination Location window, students living on campus should leave the default install location as C:Program FilesSpybot - Search & Destroy. CCA will look for Spybot S&D in this location. Installing into another location will cause CCA to fail this check.Please review the License Agreement, agree to it and click Next several times to complete the setup process.

When setup completes, you will be asked
to "Run SpybotSD.exe." Doing so will allow you to update and run Spybot
Search & Destroy, which will scan your computer for malicious
software.
Note: If you are using CCA, you will have to be successfully logged in before you can update Spybot Search & Destroy.
If you choose to run Spybot Search & Destroy, the Spybot S&D Wizard will begin running. To maximize the effectiveness of the program, please Search for and Download All Available Updates. After doing so, click Immunize this System. When the Wizard has completed, click Search and Destroy, then Check for Problems to scan your computer for malware.
