Courtesy NetID

As an Intern residing in GW Housing you are given a courtesy NetID so you can log into Cisco Clean Access (CCA) and Summer Wireless. Your NetID begins with "gw-" and is followed by whatever you supply while signing up for a username. These NetIDs do not carry the same access that GW student NetIDs carry, such as Blackboard, GWMail and GWireless (different from Summer Wireless).

Create a Courtesy NetID

GW staff, students, and faculty should not use this form; please visit the GW Account Center if you need to request a GW NetID. If you are already a member of the GW Community, your GW NetID is the same as your GW Mail username.

1) Go to the Summer Housing Online Registration - Create a Courtesy NetID page.

2) Click on Create my Summer Housing Account.



3) Select US Residents and enter your Social Security Number, then click next.
International Student without a Social Security Number: Select International Residence and enter the International Number provided to you by Housing.  If you do not have this number contact  GW Housing, (202) 994-2552



4) Complete the registration process by providing the requested information.

• Note that your courtesy NetID MUST be 4 to 9 characters long, this includes the 'gw-' which is required
• Your password must be 6-9 characters long

Reset Your Courtesy NetID Password

1) Go to the Summer Housing Online Registration - Create a Courtesy NetID page.

2) Click on Request a Password Reset.



3) Enter your last name and your Social Security Number (International ID number).  You must be able to access the account for the email address housing has on file to complete the password reset process.



If you cannot access your email you may request a password reset in person at the STS office.  You will need to have a government issued picture ID before we can reset your password.


Using Your Courtesy NetID

You will use your courtesy NetID to log into Cisco Clean Access (CCA) and Summer Wireless.  Summer Wireless is not the same as GWireless.  Summer Wireless will only be available in the residance halls.  You must use your full NetID, this includes the 'gw-' to log into these systems.
