General Services
- Evaluation and treatment of acute illness. - Physicals for study abroad, internships.
- Referrals for specialty care. - STD Testing (Men/Women) (Call 202.994.6827 for appt. & tests offered).
- HIV Testing - Oraquick test offered free of charge ($25 office visit fee applies) in partnership with D.C. Health Department.
- Emergency Contraception/Counseling. - Walk-in orthopedic consultation for injuries.
- Immunizations - TB Testing and follow up (Mon, Tues, Wed, and Fri. from 9am-1pm & 2-4:30 pm).
- Travel immunizations and advice - travel clinic appointments Tues/Wed.
- Allergy desensitization (shots given Mon-Fri 9-1 & 2-4:30, no appointment needed).

Student Health Service Cost The student is directly responsible for any and all charges incurred and payment is expected at the time of the service. The SHS does not bill individuals, parents, or insurance companies, but will provide, upon request, a receipt documenting charges and payment at the time of service to assist students seeking reimbursement from their health insurance.
Charges for currently registered students: $25 for medical office visit* $50 for physicals $65 for new / 60-minute psychiatric visit* $65 for 60-minute psychiatric visit* $45 for 30-minute psychiatric visit*
*Students enrolled in the GW Student Health Insurance Plan are exempt from this charge.
Effective September 5th, a fee will be charged to students who do not show up for their appointments. Appointments may be cancelled by calling 202-994-6827, option #1. The fee for missed medical appointments is $10. The fee for missed 1 hour psychiatric appointments is $65, and the fee for missed 30 minute psychiatric appointments is $30. Fees will be charged during the next patient visit.
Additional charges may be incurred for lab work, medical supplies and medication. Please request specific information about costs at the time of your appointment.
Charges may be paid by GWorld Card Debit Dollars, MasterCard, Visa, American Express, personal check, or cash.
The MFA Pharmacy located in the ACC building offers a discount rate for students for all medicines and devices upon presentation of the GWorld student card.
