Student Health Services treats women who are experiencing the following:
Annual Well-Woman Exam
For routine gynecologic care, SHS refers students to the OB/GYN Department of the GWU Medical Center (ACC 5th Floor; (202) 741-2500).
Services offered there include:
- Annual breast and pelvic exams
- PAP smears
- Contraceptive counseling
- Prescibing and/or dispensing contraceptives
- Contraception methods can be obtained at a special rate for GW students. Please inquire during your visit.
*It is suggested that you call one month prior to when you need an appointment as there is usually a waiting period.
Charges will be incurred for services provided and are payable at the time of services - contact the clinic directly for current rates. Students electing to utilize insurance benefits should discuss this option at the time they schedule their appointment to ensure coverage and ascertain any referral requirements and/or any copayments in advance.
