As members of the GW community, we have the unique opportunity to share the city, campus, classroom experience.  As students, the significant connections you will establish and maintain will cut across life in Washington DC and will allow you to make the most out of your experience both on an off campus.  As you consider your role with GW, I encourage you to take full advantage of the vast resources on campus, including our talented instructional faculty, our world class academic and research facilities, and the exceptional service our administrative staff will provide.

In keeping with our tradition to build community, I encourage you to consider ways that you can share in the Colonial experience, whether through participation in various programs or services we offer, attending campus events, or joining us in various community development initiates that take place both on and off campus around the city.

In short, I wish you the best as you make the most of an exceptional experience.  As you continue to explore GW, know that we are a learning community dedicated to communication, respect, service, and teamwork. If there is anything I personally can do to make your time with GW more rewarding, please do not hesitate to contact me or a member of my staff.  I also encourage you to visit my office at any time to meet me, discuss a problem, propose a solution, or work to engage me in the life of our community.

Congratulations on being a part of the Colonial Family!

Sincerely,

Robert A. Chernak
