The Sexual Assault Crisis Consultation (SACC) Team members are professional staff members at The George Washington University trained and prepared to assist the survivor of sexual assault or rape. The Team members do not act as counselors, but can provide the survivor with information and resources to make informed decisions regarding the incident.

SACC Team members can:

  • assist the survivor in identifying her or his medical, counseling, and academic needs

  • identify the appropriate campus and/or community resources to provde necessary assistance

  • follow-up with the survivor to determine if the services have been obtained and have met the survivor's needs

  • explain reporting options, such as filing a report with the Metropolitan Police Department, filing a civil suit, reviewing disciplinary options available through the University's student judicial system, and discussing University housing options, all while acting as an educator about rape and sexual assault.

Any contact you have with a member of the SACC Team is confidential.
