The Emerging Leaders Program

Emerging Leaders Program

The Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is a seven-week co-curricular program, sponsored by the Student Activities Center, that allow incoming freshman to engage in workshops designed to develop and build upon previous leadership experience and apply it here at GW.

Weekly sessions feature an array of topics including leadership development, peer mentoring, team building, community service, and networking through interactive programming.  Participants are divided into small groups and assigned a Peer Leadership Mentor (PLM).   Your PLM will guide and assist you in making your transition into college a smooth and memorable one.

Students will be assigned to sessions on either Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday nights from 5:30pm-7:00pm.  When registering for Fall 2009 classes, keep in mind to leave open one of these three nights.

There is a $100.00 one-time fee associated with the Emerging Leaders Program.  Please be sure to check your GW mail throughout the summer for updates from the program!

The Emerging Leaders Program has set a standard at GW by producing the leaders of tomorrow!
