Your World Outside the Classroom...

The Student Activities Center's purpose is to get students active, involved and engaged in the classroom, campus and city.

Mission

The Student Activities Center nurtures and supports student life by providing programs that involve students in citizenship, leadership, community, and spirit.  We engage members of the University community, in our collaborative efforts to foster the growth and educational development of students.

Objectives

 1.                  Assist students in their transitions into, through, and out of the University.

2.                  Provide opportunities that stimulate, develop, and sustain student involvement by connecting students with each other, the University, and the community beyond GW.

3.                  Enrich the diversity of student experiences by extending learning beyond the classroom.

4.                  Create leadership and development opportunities that empower students to take initiative while challenging them to be accountable, responsible, and resourceful.

5.                  Celebrate University and community spirit by supporting programs that enhance campus traditions and strengthen pride in GW.

6.                  Maintain a professional, dynamic, and welcoming working environment while providing opportunities for personal growth and development.

7.                  Evaluate and respond to the changing needs of our diverse student body and advocate on their behalf.
