The Student Activities Center's purpose is to get students active, involved and engaged in the classroom, campus, and city.

Mission

The Student Activities Center nurtures and supports student life by providing programs that involve students in citizenship, leadership, community, and spirit. We engage members of the University community, in our collaborative efforts to foster the growth and educational development of students.

Objectives:

1.  Assist students in their transitions into, through, and out of the   
     University.
2.  Provide opportunities that stimulate, develop, and sustain student
     involvement by connecting students with each other, the   
     University, and the community beyond GW.
3.  Enrich the diversity of student experience sby extending learning
     beyond the classroom.
4.  Create leadership and development opportunities that empower
     students to take initiative while challenging them to be    
     accountable, responsible, and resourceful.
5.  Celebrate University and community spirit by supporting
     programs that enhance campus traditions and strengthen pride in
     GW.
6.  Maintain a professional, dynamic and welcoming working
     environment while providing opportunities for personal growth
     and development.
7.  Evaluate and respond to the changing needs of our diverse student
     body and advocate on their behalf.
