Alumni
Here are some update to help in planning for the upcoming GW Alumni Reunion Weekend and the celebration of 150 years of Greek Life at GW.
Greek Reunion Video: The Greek Reunion
video, which Jeremy Sapriel (AEPi) created with your help, has been loaded to
YouTube. You can do a general search for “GW Greek Reunion” or click the
following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x40NxuerJs
GWAA
Grant Program: The GW Alumni Association (GWAA)
offers supplemental funding “to support specific programs sponsored by the
constituent alumni organizations of the GWAA, and other GW affiliated alumni
organizations whose work is consistent with the overall mission of the GWAA” (a
minimum of 10 alumni must be present at the event). For chapters having chapter
reunions during Alumni Weekend, you can apply for a GWAA Grant. Visit the
website for details, instructions, and the online application: http://alumni.gwu.edu/gwaa/grants.html.
Chapter
Events: We currently have the following
chapters listed for reunions: Alpha Epsilon Pi, Phi Sigma Kappa, Pi Kappa Alpha,
Kappa Kappa Gamma, Chi Omega, and Sigma Alpha Epsilon. If your chapter is
planning a reunion, send an email to greek150@gwu.edu with (a) contact person, (b)
contact information [email, phone, etc], and (c) logistics of the chapter
reunion [date, time, location, fee, etc]. If we don’t know about your chapter
reunion, it won’t be included in marketing material.
Colonial
Cable – August
Issue: As a tribute to Greek Life, the
August Issue of the Colonial Cable,
the online alumni e-newsletter, will feature the GW Greek Reunion. The Cable
will include a feature story, three alumni profiles, as well as Greek alumni
links/updates. The August issue will be sent to all alumni (who’s email we have
on file) on Aug. 6. Check it out! If you do not receive the Cable, you will be
able to view it online at: http://alumni.gwu.edu/news/index.html.
