Order of Omega
Order of Omega is the leadership honorary society for fraternity and sorority students. Members are selected through a yearly application process and must have demonstrated exemplary leadership and scholarship at GW to be considered for membership.
Mission of Order of Omega
- To recognize those fraternity men and women who have attained a high standard of leadership in inter-fraternity activities and continue to do so and inspire others to strive for similar conspicuous attainment.
- To bring together outstanding fraternity men and women to create an organization which will help to mold the sentiment of the institution on questions of local and intercollegiate fraternity affairs.
- To bring together faculty, alumni, and student members of GW's fraternities and sororities on a basis of mutual interest, understanding, and helpfulness.
- To help create an atmosphere where ideas and issues can be discussed openly across Greek lines and to help work out solutions.
- To have one large scale event per semester, including but not limited to the Office of Greek Life's Annual Greek Night of Achievement.
Requirements to be inducted into Order of Omega
- All inductees must have Junior or Senior standing status.
- Each one of them must have a minimum of a 3.2 grade point average.
- They must be in their respective organizations for at least a year.
