At TRAiLS, we believe there's a whole lot to be learned outside of the classroom. And when school is out, we take advantage of the extra "free time" on our hands! For those who yearn for a "non-traditional" - and perhaps more exciting - way to spend their winter and spring break vacations, TRAiLS offers a special kind of adventure: the Alternative Break Trip.
All TRAiLS Alternative Break Trips are focused around - you guessed it - the outdoors! A secondary focus that we also take seriously is community service - in addition to outdoor sports, participants also engage in a philanthropic activity of some kind.
Aside from being a lot of fun, TRAiLS Alternative Break Trips are also fantastic learning experiences. Simply put, they offer participants an unparalelled platform for building confidence, learning about other cultures, and experiencing - as opposed to just reading about - those wilderness and outdoor education. These trips also provide an ideal forum for building teamwork skills, sharpening leadership abilities, discovering comaraderie, and making lasting friendships! So come try out one of our trips - we promise nothing less than the experience of a lifetime!
