What is Colonial Night Cap?
The Colonial Night Cap Committee promotes drug and alcohol free programming
by offering co-sponsorship funding to registered student organizations in addition
to hosting events throughout the academic year. In order to receive funding
registered student organizations must apply and meet the following criteria:
the program must be offered on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday evening between
8pm and 2am, it must be on campus and open to the entire GW Community, it must
be free of cost, and it must be drug and alcohol free.
Various departments across the University serve on this committee, including
the Student Activities Center, Mount Vernon Campus Life, the Center for Alcohol
and other Drug Education, the Marvin Center, Student Judicial Services, Student Health
Services, the Multicultural
Student Services
Center, and GW Housing.

BE A VOICE…on the Colonial Nightcap Committee
In addition to the staff members,
the committee is looking for student representatives to serve as a student
voice. Being a committee representative requires attending bi-weekly meetings on
Wednesdays from 4-5:30PM, staffing and planning events, and reviewing student
organization applications. If you are interested in being considered as a
student representative on the committee please fill out an information sheet
and either email it to nightcap@gwu.edu
or turn it in to the Student
Activities Center,
