Emerging Leaders Program

A leadership and mentoring program that pairs first year students with current students to participate in activities designed to expand their leadership experience and foster a smooth transition into the college environment.

The "Last Lecture" Series

During each Last Lecture, a faculty member will share reflections and stories on his or her personal and professional life by answering the question, "If you know this was the last lecture you'd ever give to an audience of students, what would you say?"

REAL Conversations

A monthly diversity dialogue series that focuses on the relationship, ethnic, activism and life aspects of college student development. This series provides an experience that is life-changing. It serves to challenge students and potentially change their experience at GW, as well as their outlook on life in new and innovative ways.

Student Leadership Symposium

The Student Leadership Symposium is a conference open to all students, faculty and staff from the DC Metro area.  Each year the symposium focuses on educating individuals about leadership roles and styles as a way to expand as leaders.

Leadership Outreach Workshops

GW Leadership offers online resources and leadership consulting to meet individual, organizational, and departmental leadership needs.  Topics include but are not limited to: Team-building, Communication Skills, Conflict Management, Leadership Style Assessments, Time Management and Group Dynamics.

SUMMIT Outdoor Challenge Course

SUMMIT is a unique outdoor leadership and team-building experience for GW students, faculty, staff, and external groups sponsored by SAC and MVCL.
