Visiting GW We invite you to explore all that The George Washington University offers: vibrant, beautiful, and fast-paced campuses coexisting seamlessly with all the excitement and sophistication of the Nation's Capital. We've been welcoming visitors for over 180 years, but at no other point in our history is a campus visit as vital to experiencing the traditions, diversity, intellectual community, and spirit of the real GW. For most, your visit to GW begins at the Undergraduate Admissions Visitor Center located on the Foggy Bottom Campus. The Visitor Center offers a variety of services, including undergraduate admissions information sessions and student-guided campus tours. Visiting services for graduate students include graduate-focused tours of the GW campus. Ask a Grad and an online open house are also features of the graduate Web site. The Law School also offers a visit program tailored for J.D. applicants. Before you visit campus, plan your itinerary to include reservations at the following premium hotels offering University discounts: The Cloyd Heck Marvin Center concierge desk is a helpful resource for all other visitors to campus, including conference participants attending scheduled events in the Cafritz Conference Center. GW offers visitor parking at several convenient locations around campus. The ever-changing face of the GW campus serves as an institutional hallmark of our progress and secure future. Thanks to a growing endowment and highly-successful GW Centuries Campaign, the University's continued growth and development are ongoing as evidenced by the number of academic and student residential buildings, athletic and recreational facilities in construction, renovation, or the planning and design stages. While on campus, we invite you to also take advantage of other GW services to enhance your visit including dining at any of the restaurant-style GW Dining Services venues located at J Street in the Marvin Center, Ames Hall, and The Pub; shop at the GW Bookstore in the Marvin Center for GW clothing and merchandise; and drive around the city in a Zipcar, now available for rental by the hour.
