Shhhhhhh…..It’s silent! The Third Annual Colonials Weekend Silent Auction will take place on Saturday, October 12, 2002. All parents are invited to bid on their favorite items that range from weekend gateways at Washington hotels torestaurant gift certificates to GW memorabilia. Past donors have included United Airlines, Coca Cola, Park Hyatt Hotel, One Washington Circle Hotel, and Smith & Wollensky Steak House.

The Silent Auction was first held during Family Weekend 2000. In its first two years the auction has raised more than $10,000 benefiting the Senior Class Gift Campaign. Past campaigns have contributed to a new study room in Gelman Library and a mosaic of student pictures to form an image of the University namesake, George Washington. This mosaic is currently on display on the first floor of Marvin Center. We invite you to join us at the Silent Auction from 1pm until 4pm in the Great Hall located on the ground floor of the Marvin Center. The Class of 2003 is looking for your support.
