The "Code of Student Conduct", which is part of the 2008-2009 Guide to Student Rights and Responsibilities, is the primary University policy governing student behavior. First created in 1992, the "Code" is approved by the University Trustees and is administered by Office of Student Judicial Services under the authority of the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students.
The "Code of Student Conduct" sets minimum standards for student behavior, defines the rights of students charged with a disciplinary violation, lists the procedures for resolving disciplinary matters, provides guidance for disciplinary sanctions, and addresses other issues regarding student conduct. All students - undergraduate, graduate, full time, part time, law, medical, etc. - must be familiar with and abide by the provisions of the "Code of Student Conduct."
