Adopt-A-Family

Adopt-A-Family is an annual tradition at GWU to provide families in need with gifts of clothing, household necessities, and toys. Families are identified by the Office of Community Service Community Partners, including Academy of Hope, CentroNia, the Latin American Youth Center, and the Transitional Housing Corporation. This event is sponsored by the Office of Community Service and by Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Mu Beta Chapter.

1.) Adopt a family!  Anyone can adopt a family - Faculty, staff, departments, student organizations, individuals, and community members!  The last day to register is Friday, November 20, 2009.  You will be provided with the names and wish-list items of your family members no later than November 25, 2009.

2.) Not sure you can sponsor an entire family? Have extra money collected from sponsoring your family and not sure what to do with it? No problem!  Click HERE to view a list of additional items needed by the Transitional Housing Corporation.  Purchase any item on this list and bring it to Marvin Center Grand Ballroom on December 10, 2009 between the hours of 9am - 1pm (no registration necessary!).
