The
Hand Chapel (right) is located in the northwest corner of campus and is a great
multi-function space with the ability to support the gamut of events. The
unique architecture of the Hand Chapel unfortunately limits the handicapped
accessibility to only the balcony of the Chapel. (The view from the balcony can
be seen below) Also, the space is used frequently during the course of the week
as a lecture classroom space, so weekday events must schedule around these
classes.

The
Hand Chapel has a capacity of around 90 in a banquet-style set-up, around 125
in a theater-style set-up on the floor of the Chapel with extra capacity in the
pews of around 140. Also, the stadium-style construction of the pews creates
the perfect arrangement for performances, with past events in the Chapel
including opera and chamber music performances. Wall hangings for events are
permitted in this venue, so long as blue painter’s tape or the existing nails
in the walls are used. In addition, the space has a wireless internet
connection to be used through the GWireless Network.
