Driving Directions

From the North (Maryland)

•    Follow I-495 West towards Silver Spring and continue to the exit for Wisconsin Avenue, Route 355, which is the exit after Connecticut Avenue.
•    Follow the exit for Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355 South and continue on Wisconsin Avenue/Route 355 South for several miles to Tenley Circle/Nebraska Avenue.  About a block prior to Tenley Circle/Nebraska Avenue there is a Best Buy and Container Store on the right, a Whole Foods Market on the left, and the Tenleytown/AU Metro station entrances on both sides.
•    Turn right on Tenley Circle, then immediately bear left onto Nebraska Avenue.  Continue straight on Nebraska Avenue.  At Ward Circle (you will see signs for Massachusetts Avenue), stay in the left lane so you continue through the Circle and on Nebraska Avenue.  Once through the Circle, you will still be on Nebraska Avenue and will pass the campus of American University on the right.  Just after the campus, Nebraska Avenue will begin to curve towards the right, which will bring you to the intersection with Foxhall Road.
•    Turn left onto Foxhall Road.  Continue on Foxhall Road for several blocks and through two traffic lights.  At the first traffic light will be the intersection of Garfield Avenue and at the second traffic light will be the Field School on the left.
•    Just after the second traffic light and passing the Field School, turn right onto W Street and continue straight.  The entrance to the Visitors Parking Lot will be on the left.  OR, after the second traffic light and the Field School, continue to the third traffic light and turn right onto Whitehaven Parkway.  The entrance to the campus will be the first right and then the entrance to the Parking Garage will be the first left inside the campus entrance.

From the South (Virginia)

•    Cross the Potomac River using either the Roosevelt or Key Bridge.  If using the Roosevelt Bridge, continue on the Whitehurst Freeway to the intersection with M Street/Canal Road.  If using the Key Bridge, the intersection with M Street/Canal Road will be directly ahead at the end of the bridge.
•    Turn left onto Canal Road and continue straight past the entrance to Georgetown University on the right.  Just after the entrance, the road will split into Canal Road (towards the left) and Foxhall Road (towards the right).
•    Follow Foxhall Road (towards the right) and continue straight for a few miles past the intersections with MacArthur Boulevard and then Reservoir Road.  The next major intersection after Reservoir Road is with Whitehaven Parkway.  Turn left onto Whitehaven Parkway.  The entrance to the campus will be the first right and then the entrance to the Parking Garage will be the first left inside the campus.  OR, continue to the next intersection after Whitehaven Parkway, which is W Street, and turn left onto W Street and then continue straight. The entrance to the Visitors Parking Lot will be on the left.

From Washington, DC

•    From Connecticut, Wisconsin, or Massachusetts Avenues: Take Nebraska Avenue south (toward American University).  Once past Massachusetts Avenue, turn left onto Foxhall Road at the third light.  Follow Foxhall Road approximately 1.5 miles, then turn right onto W Street.  The entrance to Mount Vernon Campus is on your left.
•    From M Street (Georgetown): Follow M Street, NW through Georgetown, past the Key Bridge.  Stay to the right and this street will become Foxhall Road (Canal Street will veer off to the left at the light).  Follow Foxhall Road up the hill, past the intersections with MacArthur Boulevard and Reservoir Road (approximately 1.5 miles from Key Bridge).  Once you pass the German Embassy (large white building at the top of the hill), Mount Vernon College will be on your left.  Turn left at the second street onto W Street.  The entrance to Mount Vernon Campus is on your left.
