SPECIAL PROGRAMS

Welcome Week is an annual celebration to welcome students to campus and DC for the Fall semester. A number of departments and student organizations plan various events for the first few weeks of the school year.

A one stop source for all of the activities, events, and entertainment going on in Washington, D.C.

R.E.A.L. Conversations is an opportunity for students at The George Washington University to come together in a safe and trusting environment that supports and promotes the discussion of issues regarding diversity and multiculturalism.

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation
Every year in January, the Multicultural Student Services Center presents medals to students who exemplify the ideals of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in a convocation. The event is attended by people from the university and local community. The ceremony includes presentation of medals by University President Stephen Joel Trachtenberg. The event is covered by university and local media.

Graduate Celebration

The MSSC is proud of the outstanding seniors that GW has produced and shares this pride through the Graduate Reception. This event provides a place for graduates to celebrate their accomplishments with friends and administrators. The combination of food, music, friends, and memories makes this event a continuous success!
