| Mission | The George Washington University IEEE Student Branch was founded in the early 1970\'s. A diversified group of engineering students have continuously worked towards the promotion of unity between all students, the development of leadership, and the furthering of career building events by networking with local companies, the IEEE local section, and local universities are common activities of our group. Students of the IEEE are also involved in community building events like tutoring or in social events. We also are committed to having good relations with other engineering groups like ACM, SWE, NSBE and ASCE. We sponsor cross-organization events several times a year as a part of our commitment to helping the GWU community become closer-knit and a better place to learn.
Despite traditionally being a group exclusively for EE, CS, and CompE\'s, we have bucked that trend. We are very open to anyone who may be interested in EE, CS, or technology in general. If you\'re interested in technology in a technical, ethical, or social sense, you\'re welcomed to join us at our meetings and events. |
