1918 F Street

  • There are two rooms available at 1918 F Street.  A reservation entitles you to use both of these rooms for your event.  A brief description of each room is below:
    • West Parlor:  This is a small room measuring 29' X 15' or approximately 435 square feet.  There are four set-up options available for this room:
    • Dining Room:  This is a large L-shaped room of approximately 1070 square feet which can be divided into two sections via sliding glass doors.  When divided, the larger room measures 43' X 13 ½' or 580 square feet and the smaller room measures 20' X 24 ½' or 490 square feet.  There are five set-up options available for these rooms:
      • Theater style:  Theater style set-up in larger room accommodating 66 people.  In this set-up style the smaller room is not available for use.
      • Conference style:  Conference set-up in larger room accommodating 28 people.  In this set-up the smaller room is available for use, however, there will be chairs around the walls of the room.
      • Banquet with reception:  Six 51" round tables with 6 chairs each set-up in smaller room accommodating 36 people.  Larger room set with three 36" square tables with 4 chairs each, one 6' table for catering, and chairs against the walls.
      • Banquet style:  Eleven 51" round tables with 6 chairs each set throughout both rooms.
      • Theater/Banquet Combination:  Small room set with six 51" rounds with 6 chairs each and large room set theater style for 30 people.
  • Unfortunately custom set-ups are not available at 1918 F Street.  Minor modifications to the set-ups outlined above may be available.  Please work with your assigned event planner to see if your specific needs can be accommodated.

 

Basic Request and Reservation Process

  • Requests can be made via the on-line request form only.  The form can be found at gwired.gwu.edu/mc.
  • Once your request is received you will be contacted by a member of the Scheduling, Sales, and Marketing Department.  All events at 1918 F Street required a signed and executed contract and confirmation report.  You can expect to be contacted with a contract and confirmation report, pending space availability, within 72 hours of making your request.
  • Please be sure to include any set-up or breakdown time in your request.  The space will not be made available to you before your reservation time nor will it be available to after your reservation time ends.

  • Half-Day Reservations are those in which less than four hours of time are reserved.
  • Full-day Reservations are those in which four or more hours of time are reserved OR events that extend past or start at or later than 5pm.

 

AV Equipment

  • A limited amount of AV equipment is available for use at 1918 F Street.
    • Laptop Computer
    • Plasma TV-can be used for computer or video (DVD/VHS) presentations
    • Podium
    • Wireless Microphone-handheld and lavaliere both available
    • Easel with pad-2 available
    • Wooden stanchions-7 available
  • Additional equipment can be ordered for you from an outside vendor should you require something not listed above.
