The placement procedure for Russian language courses at GW consists of two steps:
- Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) by phone. A Russian language instructor at GW will arrange to call you for a 10-minute Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI). In some cases, an OPI is sufficient for placement. If not, we proceed to Step 2.
- Multiple choice on-line test. If the Oral Proficiency interview does not provide enough information for placement, you will receive an e-mail with instructions for taking the Russian placement online diagnostic test.
