FULL-TIME FACULTY
Prof. CHARLES MUELLER, EAP Instructor Charles Mueller teaches graduate level English for Academic Purposes (EAP) courses at George Washington University. He has a B.A. and M.A. in philosophy from Seoul National University and Hallym University in South Korea, and has a second M.A. in TESOL from the Monterey Institute of International Studies. In addition, he is currently completing a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition at the University of Maryland. In addition to his teaching, he has worked with a number of area think tanks, to include the Center for the Advanced Study of Language (CASL) and the National Foreign Language Center (NFLC), where he has helped create an online instructional course for Korean to English translation. His interests include spatial language, summarization skills, translation, and advanced language acquisition.

Prof. MEGAN SICZEK, EAP Instructor Megan Siczek is responsible for teaching undergraduate English for
Academic Purposes (EAP) classes at George Washington University. She
has an undergraduate degree in Political Science and History and a
graduate degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She has held
previous teaching positions at Korea University in Seoul, Korea and at
the University of North Carolina. In addition to teaching academic
writing classes to international undergraduates at GW, she works with
the Writing Center and the University Writing Program to meet the needs
of non-native English writers at the university.
