The GWU Language Center facilitates and promotes foreign language studies at the university, providing a wide array of academic support for both faculty and students. Our Media Room offers access to state-of-the-art computers with software and media specific to GWU language studies. We also maintain two fully equipped media classrooms to be used by language instructors.
The Language Center also houses GW's English for Academic Purposes program (EAP) for enrolled GW students with non-English-speaking background. The EAP program has as its
main goal to assist non-native English speakers in adapting to the rigorous
academic context at the George Washington University, particularly in
the area of developing their research and writing skills.
