Welcome Center Check-In


 
  
Welcome Spring 2010 Students to The George Washington University!!

  One of the first things you will need to do upon arrival is to come to the Welcome Center at the International Services Office (ISO) to check-in with our office.  Welcome Center will be open 9 am through 5 pm from December 7, 2009 through January 22, 2010.  No appointment is needed.

The Welcome Center is located within the ISO at 2033 K Street, NW, Suite 310. (Please note: our building entrance is on 21st street.)



During Welcome Center our office staff will provide you with information to help you prepare for your life as a GW student!  We will also review and photocopy your immigration documents to ensure that you are legally ready to begin your studies.
Please bring the following documents with you when you check in at the Welcome Center:

  • Your valid passport with valid visa.
  • Your I-94 stamped by the U.S. immigration inspector.

This is a small white card also referred to as an Arrival/Departure Record

  • F-1 Students: GWU I-20 or
  • J-1 Students/Scholars: GWU DS-2019.
  • Your current local address and telephone number where you are presently staying.
  • *Transfer Students please bring all previous I-20s and immigration documents as you may be asked for them during the check-in process.


*Please note: During Orientation (January 6th-7th, 2010), the ISO will have adjusted hours of operation for Welcome Center.  Please check back for adjusted business hours.
