Mitchell, 514 19th Street, has a maximum occupancy of 352 men and women in single rooms with a community bathroom and a limited number of single suites with a shared bathroom. Located on the southeast corner of campus, Mitchell is next to Mabel Thurston, 1959 E Street and only three blocks from the White House.
All rooms have vanities, microwaves and fridges, and medicine cabinets. Two large bathroom facilities are located on each floor; and all floors but the first have kitchen facilities as well. Mitchell's first floor provides single rooms with private bathrooms, microwaves, and refrigerators. Students living in Mitchell can enjoy student group performances as there is an in-house theatre just downstairs.

Residents of the Culture and Arts House at Mitchell will have the unique opportunity to live in a residential artistic community where their talents and interests can flourish alongside the talents of their housemates. Areas of culture and art explored in this house include visual arts, creative writing, performing arts, culinary art, art history, ethnic diversity and cultural exploration. Screenwriting, sculpture, photography, acting, dance, cooking, playing musical instruments or singing would all be activity interests that would be grouped with this house.
