Team leaders are expected to attend meetings on November 22, December 5, and January 15, as well as lead a group of 15 students on MLK Day-January 18 in service and reflection on honoring MLK Jr's legacy. Alternative Winter Break: Atlanta Trip
Alternative Winter Break Atlanta is a trip that will be focused on disaster relief following the massive flooding that occurred in September. This is a service learning trip. We will be leaving GW on January 2nd and we will return to campus on January 10th. The cost of the trip is $300. We have a few spots to fill. Contact us if you are interested.

The GW Social Enterprise Forum
The GW Social Enterprise Forum is a new university platform for exploring the emerging and dynamic field of social enterprise by bringing valuable knowledge about social enterprise onto GW’s campus; engaging GW with social enterprises domestically and internationally; and helping open career doors in the field for GW students. Social enterprise bridges the gap between non-profit and for-profit work by using innovative new business ideas to solve social issues.Activities include guest speakers, alternative volunteer experiences, supporting social entrepreneurs through microfinancing, social enterprise career fairs, etc!

Eco-Challenge
The GW Eco-Challenge is a contest between all residence halls to determine which hall can conserve the most electricity and water. Last year Building JJ took first place overall, while 1959 E Street won the Large Hall category.
