SUMMER 2009 GREEK HOUSING OPTIONS AT THE GEORGE WASHINGTON UNIVERSITY

Thank you for your interest in Summer Housing in one of our Greek Townhouses. The George Washington University has been providing Summer accommodations for  35 years, offering both a convenient location for exploring and enjoying Washington D.C., and easy access to your place of work.

The George Washington University owns and operates thirteen locations that are used as Greek Housing during the Summer months.  Summer guests who are requesting long-stay housing accommodations and affiliated with one of these chapters, may request assignment in this special community.

Summer guests considering Greek Housing should know that this housing option is offered at a reduced rate compared to our standard Individual Intern housing options.  Sign up for Greek Housing is by Summer session, either for the Entire Summer, Summer I only or Summer II only (dates are below).  Greek Housing is also available for a longer time frame then our general Summer & Conference Housing season, which may better meet your accommodation needs.

Most Greek Housing locations offer double accommodation rooms with a private bath.  All houses have common living and kitchen facilities for communal use by all residents of that location, ranging from 4-30 residents each.  The Greek House Manager of each chapter can provide details of their specific chapter house.  Please read all information on this Web page as it will provide all necessary information on requesting a space in one of our Greek Townhouses.

Reservation & Payment Process

Steps to Living In a GWU owned and operated Greek Townhouse:
1.  Contact the House Manager of the chapter with which you would like to live, providing them with specifics of your stay request.  A directory of the House Managers can be found below.

2.  If the House Manager confirms availability, they will forward your name and reservation request to GW Housing Programs.

3.  GW Housing Programs will send you an e-mail confirming your reservation request.  This e-mail will provide instructions on how to log-in to our Web site where you will be able to complete your reservation request and make payment.  Please note that all housing fees must be paid in full prior to arrival.  Please note:  until April 15, 2009, individuals reserving Summer Housing at GW will be able to do so and only submit a lower deposit at point of reservation  (25% of housing charges + the full administrative fee) instead of the usual 50% deposit due.  This will permit you to spread out the total cost of your Summer housing over additional time before you arrival to campus.  Payment for Greek Housing is made directly to GW Housing Programs, not to the individual chapter.

4.  Plan your travel to arrive on campus!
