SUMMER 2009 GROUP HOUSING REQUEST FORMS

The George Washington University is the premier Summer & Conference program in the Washington, DC region.  Conference and Intern Groups from all over the world have chosen The George Washington University to meet their housing needs for over 35 years.  We take pride in offering convenient, flexible, and affordable housing options to short- and long-stay groups over the Summer months.

With two distinct DC campus settings, including our vibrant urban downtown Foggy Bottom campus and our more traditional, grassy Mount Vernon Campus, GW offers over 30 different living options to help shape the ideal living experience for your group participants.   And to round out your conference needs, a host of campus partners are ready to service your space, catering, technology, and other needs too.

We encourage you to consider housing at The George Washington University in Summer 2009 to STAY...WORK...and PLAY in Washington, DC.

WHAT ARE THE AVAILABLE DATES OF STAY?

Summer & Conference Housing for short- and long-stay groups is available from Sunday, May 24, 2009 through Saturday, August 8, 2009.

WHO SHOULD COMPLETE A REQUEST FORM?

GW's Summer & Conference Housing Program provides Summer housing options to non-profit, educationally oriented groups visiting Washington, DC for conference, convention, or general educational purposes.  Groups must be affiliated with an educational institution or non-profit organization (e.g. school, religious institution, advocacy group, scholarly association, etc.).

A group reservation Request Form should be completed by the Group Coordinator for your organization who has decision-making authority.

DO WE NEED TO SEND A DEPOSIT WITH THE REQUEST FORM?

NO.  There is no financial or contractual obligation when submitting a request form.  The request form is your official first step to make a housing reservation at The George Washington University.  A reservation request is not confirmed until your organization receives, signs, and returns a Summer Housing Agreement and appropriate deposit to GW Summer & Conference Housing.

On the request form, you will find details regarding rate and building options available to your group category.

WHICH REQUEST FORM SHOULD MY ORGANIZATION SUBMIT?

If your organization is requesting housing accommodations for 2-27 consecutive nights or less, then your organization should submit a SHORT-STAY CONFERENCE GROUP REQUEST FORM (click here).

If your organization is requesting housing accommodations for 28 consecutive nights or more, then your organization should submit a LONG-TERM STAY/INTERN GROUP HOUSING REQUEST FORM (click here).

If your organization is an official GWU Department (academic or administrative) and intends to pay for your housing accommodations through an internal funds transfer, then your organization should submit a GWU DEPARTMENT HOUSING REQUEST FORM (click here).
