Summer 2009 Available Dates

The Summer & Conference Housing is available for short-stay groups from Sunday, May 24, 2009 through Saturday, August 8, 2009.  Short-stay groups are considered as groups that stay 2-27 consecutive nights.

Note: To receive the GWU Affiliated Rate, 70% of all participants must be GWU matriculated students, faculty, or staff. This rate will be adjusted prior to arrival for qualifying groups.  To receive either rate, payment must be made by Journal Entry.

 

Conference Halls: Shared-occupancy and single-occupancy rooms with private or common floor bathrooms. The residence halls available include: Thurston, Potomac House, Lafayette and Crawford on the Foggy Bottom campus and Somers, Clark, Cole, Merriweather, and Hensley on the Mount Vernon campus.

Apartment-Style: Shared-occupancy and single-occupancy rooms set up studio-style as one large living space.  Each room features a private bathroom and a kitchen. The hall in this category is Schenley on the Foggy Bottom Campus.  Space will be assigned as available.

Your Summer amenities will include required linen service per guest (inc. pillow, blanket, sheets, and towels).

GWU Department guests staying Entire Summer Season (May 21, 2009 - August 18, 2009) will be charged a flat rate of $2600 and be assigned to space in Ivory Tower (Building Group 3).

Note: Individuals who are academic year housing residents during Spring 2009 and Fall 2009 can stay continuous between terms. All other individuals must arrive and depart based on the above term dates. NO EXCEPTIONS.


Building Group 1 rooms are traditional dormitory style housing with common floor bathrooms. 

Building(s) Include: Madison, Strong, and 2034 G Street


Building Group 2 rooms have a private bathroom, kitchen, and are set up studio-style as one large living space.
Building(s) Include: Fulbright, International House, Guthridge, JBKO, Munson, 2109 F Street, Building JJ, and West End

(FSK is closed for the 2009 Summer season)


Building Group 3 rooms offer the greatest level of amenities.  All rooms have kitchens and a private bathroom(s).  Rooms are set up either studio-style or offer bedrooms which are separate from the living/kitchen space.

Building Group 4 rooms offer the single rooms.  These rooms have a range of amenities from a common floor bathroom, to a single room with a private bathroom, to a single room with a kitchen and a private bathroom. 

Building(s) Include: Mitchell, International House, Guthridge, Strong, West End, 1959 E Street, HOVA (graduate students only), The Aston (graduate students only)
