Office Assistant

General Job Description

This position is an academic year position. The responsibility of the position is to manage all aspects of the Department of Campus Recreation office. The individual reports to the Assistant Directors of Campus Recreation.

Qualifications

Applicants must have at least one semester of experience working within the Department of Campus Recreation office and/or a vast knowledge of intramural sports and officiating. They must be highly motivated, enthusiastic, have excellent communication skills and have the ability to work with a wide variety of people. Previous experience in handling money transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Attend ALL scheduled meetings and training sessions
  • Complete all money transactions that come through the office
  • Be familiar with all programs and events offered through the Recreational Sports and Fitness Services office
  • Answer all incoming phone calls and make phone calls to patrons of the program as needed
  • Handle all patron questions and concerns, including registering for events and programs offered by the Recreational Sports and Fitness Services office
  • Serve as liaison between the Recreational Sports and Fitness Services office and all patrons and users of the program
