The GW Men's Rugby Club competes against other universities from all over the country depending on the tournament and our travel budget. We are members of USA Rugby, in the Mid Atlantic Territory, and the Potomac Rugby Union. USA Rugby governs virtually all rugby in the United States and administers the US Eagles National Team, who play internationally. There is a championship system, and all-star system, and extensive playoff bracketing for these competitions as well as invitational exhibition tournaments. The GW Women's Rugby Team is dedicated to the sport of rugby and the advancement of women's rugby on the college level. It provides the campus with a club team for women interested in learning how to play rugby, and a team for those who wish to continuing to play rugby after high school. The team meets 3 days a week for practice (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) from 5-7pm engaging in intercollegiate play on Saturdays and Sundays.
