Incentive Program 2008-2009

Peak Performance: A Mount Everest Challenge

 

Program Description

 

Program runs September 15, 2008 through May 1, 2009.

 

"Climb" Mount Everest with Campus Recreation. Work out, earn points, and win prizes over the course of one academic year!

 

Points will be awarded to participants upon completion of various activities offered through Campus Recreation (see rules). Each activity is assigned a different point value. Prizes will be awarded as each participant accumulates 40 points to reach the goal elevation/campsite.

 

Rules

 

All Campus Recreation activities will be included and each activity will has its own point value:

 

•     Massage: 1 point

•     Nutrition: 1 point

•     Fitness Center: 2 points

•     Group Fitness: 2 points

•     Extreme Training: 2 points

•     Personal Training: 2 points

•     Intramurals: 2 points

•     Club sports: 2 points

•     Special Events: 3 points

 

A Campus Recreation staff member must initial your Incentive Program booklet after each activity.

 

No more than 1 activity or 3 points may be accumulated in a single day.

 

Fitness Center workouts must be a minimum of 30 minutes; all other activities are assumed to be 30 minutes or longer. 

 

You must accumulate 40 points per each segment of the Mount Everest Challenge. When you reach 40 points, bring your booklet to the Campus Recreation office where it will be marked and your prize will be awarded. Your points start over with each new segment of the climb; up to two (2) points may be carried over to the following segment. Campus Recreation office hours are M-TH 10-8; F 9-5; S 10-2.

 

One male and one female participant will be named “Campus Recreation Champion 2008-2009.” This title will be determined by progress through the program AND a balanced participation in all program areas.
