Group Fitness Class Descriptions

Cardio/ Sculpt Classes:

20-20-20 – When you want a well rounded workout try 20-20-20 for a little bit of everything!   20 minutes Hi/lo, 20 minutes step, 20 minutes sculpt. 

Abs - Focuses on firming and defining the abdominals, core muscles and lower back.

Advanced Step - A more advanced step class that incorporates challenging choreography or multiple steps. Appropriate for intermediate to advanced steppers.

Cycle – 50 minute class performed on specifically designed stationary bikes.  Participants adjust their own resistance and pedaling rate so that beginners and regular cyclists are challenged in the same class.

Cycle 75 – Challenge your endurance with this 75-minute cycle class! Appropriate for intermediate to advanced cyclists.

Cycle/Pump – A cycle class followed by strength exercises and stretches that target the muscles used in cycling.

Fast Blast! - Combination of cardio and sculpting intervals will allow you to burn optimal calories while affectively conditioning the body.

Hot Cardio Dance -A new form of dance workout that combines hip-hop, belly dancing, Pilates, kickboxing, and yoga.  This dance form is easy to learn and focuses on strengthening the hips and core. No dance experience is required. 

Kick-In-It- combines martial arts movements, party-like motivation, and Miami Club-Latin music to create the perfect workout.   Through punches and kicks, you will tighten and tone your arms, legs and core.  And as you work your target areas, unbelievably... you'll have a blast doing it!  Results and fun are guaranteed!

Muscle Pump – Focuses on muscular strength and endurance.  Class uses dumbbells, resist-a-bands, dyna-balls and your own body weight.

Step & Sculpt – A Step and Muscle Pump class integrated together to burn calories and tone muscles.

Sweat and Stretch- This class will get your heart moving with 30 minutes of intense cardio ranging from hi/lo, step, kickboxing, or sports drills and then calm your mind with 30 minutes of restorative yoga.

Turbokick™- Kickboxing with a little groove! This high intensity kickboxing workout will have the extra kick you are looking for. The “Turbo” portions of this class will have you sweating in no time!

ZUMBA™- is a fusion of Latin and International music - dance themes that create a dynamic, exciting, effective fitness system! The routines feature aerobic/fitness interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body.

Mind & Body Classes:

Hatha Yoga – A yoga practice popular in the West that combines difficult postures, which force the mind to withdraw from the outside world using controlled breathing.

Mat Pilates – A mat-based class designed to lengthen muscles as it stretches.  Develop balance, posture, coordination, strength and flexibility.

PiYo™- This fusion style flexibility workout combines Pilates, yoga, dance, and strength in a flowing sequence.

Power Vinyasa Yoga A quicker paced Vinyasa class designed to challenge the body through fluid flow that incorporates strength, flexibility, and breath.

Relaxation Yoga- Finish off your hectic day with this late night class geared to really calm your mind and body.

Ying Yang Yoga- This practice draws together different elements of yoga: softness combined with strength.  The ying form of yoga is based on holding postures passively for sustained periods of time, encouraging softness and deep internal release. The yang style is much more about dynamic movement that focuses on strength.

Vinyasa Yoga - A fluid flow that links movement with breath.  It is known for its dynamic and creative sequences. 

YogaFit®- Based on the ancient fitness science of hatha yoga, it blends balance, strength, flexibility and power in a fitness format. YogaFit overcomes the mystery of yoga by delivering a practical, user-friendly style, which is accessible, understandable, and doable by individuals at any level of fitness.
