Class Procedures

Registration

Visit the Campus Recreation office in the Lerner Health and Wellness Center, 2nd floor.
Monday-Thursday: 10am-8pm
Friday: 9am-5pm
Saturday: 10am-2pm

Class Location
Lerner Health and Wellness Center/2nd Level Multi-Purpose Room

Class Participants must be a LHWC member with a valid GWorld ID and complete a "Fitness Class Participant Waiver". All participants must have a Full Fitness Pass, Mind & Body Pass, or Drop-In Pass to attend class (received at registration).

POLICY FOR ATTENDING CLASSES

  • A monitor will stand outside the entrance of a Group Fitness class for 10 minutes prior to its start time.

  • Please do not enter the multi-purpose room until a monitor is present. Individuals will not be admitted later than 5 minutes after a
    classes has started.

  • Present your GWorld (with pass sticker) to the monitor for access to the class.

  • If you leave your GWorld card at the Equipment Desk, you must
    receive a slip of paper to indicate that you have a Group Fitness pass. You
    will need the slip for class access.

  • All personal belongings must be secured in a locker.

  • All Cardio classes will be limited to 60 participants.

FOR CYCLE CLASSES

  • Go to the Campus Recreation office located on the 2nd floor of the LHWC to receive a numbered card to reserve your space in a cycle class.

  • Access cards may be picked up only 15 minutes prior to when a class begins.

  • Give your card to the monitor at the door.

  • Cycle classes are limited to 15 participants.

  • Daily class participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. 

Class Attire

Participants are required to wear closed toed, non-marking sneakers.
Comfortable exercise attire is recommended.

Cancelling Classes:

If 2 people or less attend a class, the instructor has the right to cancel
the class.  Thank you for your understanding.

Please note that refunds will not be given for Group Fitness classes. Each semester, the first week of classes are offered on FREE trial basis.


IMPORTANT: There may be dates and times when classes will be canceled throughout the year due to special events.  Advanced notice will be given whenever possible.  Please sign up for the email list-serve if you would like to be receive these notices via email.  Thank you for your understanding.
