Many sport clubs are organized for the purpose of competition.  Sport clubs are not restricted to compete with other colleges and universities.  Clubs may also compete against other non-university organized clubs.  A sport club desiring to affiliate with a conference, union or league must secure prior approval from the Campus Recreation Director.  Establishment of the extramural schedule is the duty of the club officer's or advisor and should be done well in advance so as to arrange for facilities.  Never schedule home events without being assured of facility availability.  Clubs are expected to abide by the guidelines of their affiliated conference, union or league and any change in their status with that affiliation must be reported to the Office of Campus Recreation.  A copy of each sport club's competition schedule should be on file in the Office of Campus Recreation.  When possible, home and away contests should be scheduled equally.  Scheduling of activities during exam week is strictly prohibited.
