The GW Men's Lacrosse season looks to celebrate another season as one of the University's most competitive sports clubs. Founded in 1997, the team has made steady progress towards the assumption of powerhouse status in their respective league, the National College Lacrosse League. The league, comprised of more than 80 northeastern universities, plays host to a competitive atmosphere that comes to a boiling point with its annual final four tournament in May.

The
GW Women's Lacrosse Club was established in 1998 with the intentions of
being elevated to varsity status (which they were in 2001). The club
continues to exist for those women who love playing lacrosse who
either: do not want to play at the varsity level due to concerns about
too much practice time or, they aren't good enough to play at the
intercollegiate level. The club plays against other university club
teams during a very busy spring season.
