- Mastercard & Visa accepted for online, phone & fax deposits
- Cash, checks, Mastercard & Visa accepted for in-person deposits at the GWorld office
- Use campus VTS machines to check account balance & make cash deposits
How can parents/students check account activity?
- Parents & students can review account activity via GWorld Web site 24/7
- Parents must complete FERPA form to obtain access to student’s account information
What if my card is lost or stolen?
- Report/suspend missing card online
- Report stolen card to UPD
- Obtain replacement card at GWorld office
What are GWorld's safeguards against identify theft?
- Social security numbers are not provided on card
- Student photos are on face of card
- GWorld card number is not printed on purchase receipts
- GWorld user password is established for GWorld card on-line account access
What am I not allowed to do with my card?
- Purchase alcohol or tobacco products
- Lend card or share password with another individual
How Do I Obtain a GWorld Card?
- Visit the GWorld Card Office in Suite 501 of the Marvin Center (800 21st Street)
- Make sure to bring a government issued photo ID (drivers license, state ID, passport, etc). Please note that cardholders may not wear sunglasses, head wear, or any article obstructing identification for their GWorld Card photo
- Students obtaining a GWorld Card must be registered for at least one credit-hour of classes for the current semester
- New Staff will obtain their GWorld Card after attending the New Employee Orientation conducted by Human Resource Services.
- Virginia Campus students and staff should call 703-726-3511 to make an appointment to obtain a card
- New faculty obtaining a GWorld Card must provide documentation of their hire on official letterhead and have current faculty status in the GWeb Information System
