 MAXIMIZING THE STUDY ABROAD EXPERIENCE

Focus on Fall Abroad

With an impressive number of GW undergraduates studying abroad, the Office for Study Abroad and Housing Services are pleased to continue a special study abroad program with a focus on maximizing the study abroad experience upon return to campus.

The Focus on Fall Abroad Living and Learning Community is made up of students who study abroad during a fall semester (generally during the junior year) and return to campus during the spring semester of the same year to live with other study abroad participants in either New Hall or City Hall. Special residential programming in the spring helps returning students to reflect on what they learned abroad. Community members will also benefit from:

  • priority registration for spring classes
  • guaranteed pre-lottery housing (New Hall or City Hall) upon their return
  • the option to participate in workshops, presentations by local experts,
and other special activities in the spring
  • a $1,500 break on tuition/room/board at any of the GW Study Centers
  • a $1,000 break on tuition/room/board at select centers run by CIEE
  • click here for more benefits

The new Focus on Fall Abroad Living and Learning Community, based in New Hall or City Hall, is now accepting applications! Applicants must be planning to study abroad during the Fall 2007 semester and to return to campus for Spring 2008.
