Adaptive/Assistive Technology

Access to assistive technologies is facilitated by the Executive Coordinator. The Gelman Library (Room B04D) houses our AT laboratory and contains  computer workstations with the following equipment and software.

  • Jaws for Windows (speech access)
  • Braille Window (refreshable braille)
  • Juliet Interpoint Braille Embosser (for hard copy)
  • Kurzweil 1000 and 3000 (scan and read)
  • Zoom Text (magnification of computer image)
  • CCTV (magnification of hard copy)
  • Dragon Dictate (voice recognition)
  • 4-Track Tape Recorders

Registered students eligible to use such resources should contact the Executive Coordinator for further information.
