The Office of Off-Campus Student Affairs (OCSA) at The George Washington University educates students about their rights in and responsibilities to the greater community beyond the campus boundaries. OCSA provides resources and information to help students make good decisions when they are off campus and strives to improve the Foggy Bottom/West End community by encouraging personal responsibility, neighborhood courtesy, and civic involvement. In addition, OCSA provides education, resources, and services to students about the process of transitioning off campus as they are making decisions about becoming an off-campus student.
A few of the services provided by the Office of Off-Campus Student Affairs include:
Production and distribution of a yearly GW Guide to Living Off-Campus, which contains specific information about being a good neighbor, trash, parking, noise issues, and numerous other topics.
Provides a Resource Center open to all undergraduate and graduate students containing information on the rights and responsibilities of off-campus living.
Maintains an OCSA website containing a downloadable version of the GW Guide to Living Off-Campus as well as additional useful information and education about being an off-campus student.
