Emotional, behavioral, or physical outcomes of stress

From the stress symptoms checklist, simply categorize your responses as emotional, behavioral or physical outcomes of stress.

Physical expressions of stress need a physical antidote: exercise, relaxation conditioning, change in your diet (less sugar, caffeine, alcohol).

Behavioral expressions of stress require an effort to change your behavior: go to bed earlier, get up at a better time, make the effort to connect with friends and enjoy your environment, plan short intensive work periods to build tolerance for stressful tasks, take control - do something now!

Emotional expressions of stress require both an emotional and mental antidote: try to be realistic about what you can and cannot do, give yourself time to change, recognize negative/self-critical thinking and replace it with positive/realistic statements, listen to some of your favorite music, give or get a hug, smile...
