Outreach and Consultation

UCC staff and UCC Peer Educators are available to make presentations to your student organization, residence hall, department, or class on topics such as adjustment to college, healthy relationships, cultural and racial diversity, eating and body image issues, career/major decision making, stress management, academic effectiveness, and other relevant mental health topics. UCC staff can also develop psychoeducational presentations to address specific situations or to meet the needs of a particular group.

If you would like to request a workshop or presentation, please call the University Counseling Center at 202-994-5300 and ask to speak with the Counselor-on-Call. Please allow approximately three (3) weeks for planning and development. During busy times of the semester we might not be able to fulfill all programming requests. There is no charge for this service.

The UCC is also available to consult with faculty, staff, parents, or students, concerning issues affecting student welfare and development, student crises, or any of our services. We would be happy to help you assess a difficult situation, learn about resources, make an intervention, or learn the best way to make a referral, if appropriate.  Please call our office at 202-994-5300 for assistance by asking to speak with the Counselor-on-Call.
